Cherokee Chapter is now Georgia Chapter.
Last month, the Cherokee Chapter announced that it was attempting to undergo a name change, because the name was too ambiguous. Many Audi owners thought that our chapter only represented Cherokee County (a county in the Atlanta suburbs), and decided against joining the club because of this. The chapter decided that it was time to change our name to something more descriptive: Audi Club of Georgia. After our Board of Directors approved the name change, we let our members vote on it. Well, now the voting is closed and the results are in: 100% of the votes submitted by our members were ‘YES’.

What does this mean? It means that we are officially the Audi Club of Georgia (a.k.a. Audi Club North America, Georgia Chapter). It also means that people looking in to joining our club will no longer be confused by our name (many people thought that we only represented Cherokee County, Georgia).
It is our sincere hope that this change will bring about increased membership and improve the quantity and quality of our events. We will still continue to host events throughout the southeast, and members of neighboring chapters are still welcome to attend our meetings, HPDE’s, scenic drives and social events.
Stay tuned as we update our website content. From now on, you can find us on the web at: http://www.audiclubga.com
